Types of Prams
2 in 1 Prams:
A 2-in-1 pram converts from a lie-flat pram to an upright pushchair, making
it suitable for a newborn through to a toddler. It usually comes with a fabric
hood and apron to keep a small baby enclosed.
A 2-in-1 plus has all the benefits of the 2-in-1 but also includes a removable
enclosed pram seat with integral handles to produce a small carrycot.
3 in 1 Prams:
A 3-in-1 pram has all the benefits of the 2-in-1 but also includes a full
sized carrycot, which slots onto the frame. The benefit of a 3-in-1 is that your
baby can sleep in the carrycot overnight, saving you having to buy an additional
Moses basket or crib.
Some 3-in-1s are sold as a complete package, whilst others give you a choice of
chassis, seat units and carrycots, which you can combine to make up you own
individual 3-in-1.
3-Wheeled Joggers
Also known as an All Terrain Pushchair this is a pram with three wheels, one
at the front and two at the back which provides a lightweight but rugged pram
providing an extremely comfortable ride for your baby. The real plus point of
the 3 wheeler is their excellent manoeuvrability on different terrains.
Double Buggies
Double Buggies are designed to hold 2
babies at a time, and come in both side by side, and inline prams. If you have
twins, a double buggy is a must have, since it helps move both children at once.
